A Quick Verification of Animal Birth Control - ABC
The funniest part of the structured ABC programme is that the neutered dogs are to be relocated. It is an accepted fact that none of the administrative, technical or facilitating stake holders want the sterilized dogs to starve to death after their release to the old habitat. So, then how about the living of these returnees? They have to depend on the street alias garbage again. In other words, relocating is rather a clear invitation and justification for throwing of garbage in the street so that the transformed dogs do not starve to death. This will also ensure the continuity of the vicious circle and the big unanswered question “Who came first, the dog or the garbage?”
ABC always travels in the trodden path. Everyone involved in this venture support the present components so that they are safe in the comfort zone of being branded as the True Animal Lovers. There is ample justification for a street dog to attack a school going child crossing the territory. Animal Right is a high end limited edition vehicle with selected and exclusive list of passengers. Domesticated canines including the homeless belong to this category for social reasons. High fertility, zero biological control, omnipresence and high social patronage ensure a decent year round population. The present system of ABC is based on the noble concept that all dogs are human friendly and that they will remain so ever. It is also based on the notion that the members of this species will look up at human faces with love and affection even after their ultimate right of reproduction is taken away without their knowledge and consent. ABC is yet to acknowledge that all canine saliva exposures warrant ART and associated trauma management even if the aggressor is a loyal member of the ABC group.
This is the right time for some brainstorming on the present strategy of dog centered social issues, dog population control, and damage assessment in indirect exposures. ABC has to grow in its concept and technical base. We, the IVA had initiated a commendable discussion and expert panel study during last year but administrative recognition is still avoiding us even in the face of disasters.
