The rampant and non judicious use of antibiotics and other drugs that have residual effect by non vets in Kerala and the non enforcement of, over the counter dispensing of drugs and dispensing of drugs without a PROPER prescription from a Veterinary Council registered, Veterinary doctor is going to emerge as a major cause of concern for drug and multi drug resistance in fatal human infections. Its high time the concerned departments join hands to fight this grave issue of human health.
